Protest in IUST aganist minor’s killing

A protest was held by the students of Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) inside the varsity against the killing of seven year old Kaneeza.
Students were holding placards which read “in solidarity with Kaneeza”, “stray bullet won’t hide your action”, “I am Kashmiri, I am Kaneeza don’t know when stray bullet will end my dreams”.

Students were demanding action against killing, “We demand action against those who killed an innocent,” said a group of female students.

Junaid Dar a student of IUST said state is using new occupational terms like ‘stray bullets’ to justify the innocent killings in Kashmir.

Protesters also raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

Pertinently Kaneeza was killed near the encounter site in Kupwara, issuing a statement police said she was hit by a ‘stray bullet’.
